Meet Leilani Vella
Leilani began their career as an ecologist studying where the water meets the land. In these dynamic places of intermittent flooding and drought, nature has developed incredible adaptations and cooperations that balance the flows of organic energy throughout an ecosystem. Leilani wanted to bridge the gap between ecology and economics and set out to learn how the lessons of ecology could be applied to business.
They have applied the systems science of ecology to design commercial strategies for businesses in climate tech, nature-based solutions, community engagement, and consumer goods and services. Leilani has designed and led incubator programs for climate tech and consumer goods startups and worked shoulder-to-shoulder with over three dozen founders to support them in developing solutions that drive outcomes.
Today Leilani focuses on creative regenerative business systems that integrate social and environmental impact while empowering sustainable economic growth
